PTFE Magnetic Drive Centrifugal Pumps
HD Process supplies plastic-head magnetic drive centrifugal pumps with PTFE wetted components for corrosive chemical transfer applications. The seal-less magnetic drive construction eliminates the conventional mechanical shaft seal, helping contain aggressive, volatile or hazardous process liquids within the pump.
These pumps provide an alternative to stainless steel construction where the chemical duty requires different wetted materials. Selection should be based on the specific chemical, concentration, temperature and complete operating conditions.
PTFE Wetted Components for Corrosive Chemicals
PTFE wetted parts provide broad chemical resistance and make these magnetic drive pumps suitable for selected acids, solvents and reactive compounds where compatibility with the complete pump construction has been confirmed.
Seal-Less Pumping of Aggressive Fluids
The magnetic coupling transfers torque without a conventional drive shaft passing through the pump casing. This removes the mechanical shaft seal as a potential leakage and maintenance point, which is particularly useful when transferring corrosive, volatile or hazardous liquids.
Chemical Processing and Laboratory Duties
Typical uses include chemical processing, pharmaceutical and laboratory fluid-transfer applications requiring chemically resistant wetted materials and improved containment.
- Corrosive chemical transfer
- Compatible acid and alkali duties
- Compatible solvents and reactive compounds
- Pharmaceutical and laboratory process liquids
Information Required for Material and Pump Selection
Correct pump selection requires the chemical name and concentration, required flow rate, discharge head or pressure, operating temperature and suction conditions. Connection size and type should also be confirmed before specifying the pump.
Contact HD Process with your chemical and operating duty so the appropriate magnetic drive pump construction and wetted materials can be assessed.
