Standard Inch Tri-Clover Fittings NZ | Ferrules and Seals
HD Process supplies standard inch Tri-Clover fittings for hygienic tube connections. Commonly called Tri-Clamp or TC fittings, this range includes weld ferrules, retaining clamps, blank end caps and replacement gaskets.
Inch-based connections are widely used in New Zealand and Australia. HD Process provides dimensional references for ASME BPE and BS 4825-3 fittings to help distinguish these connections from DIN and other clamp systems.
Inch Tube Sizes and Clamp-Face Diameters
The nominal inch size refers to the tube size rather than the outside diameter of the clamp face. Different tube sizes can share the same clamp-face diameter while requiring different gasket bores.
- 1 inch ASME BPE ferrule: 25.4 mm tube outside diameter and 50.5 mm clamp-face diameter.
- 1½ inch ASME BPE ferrule: 38.1 mm tube outside diameter and 50.5 mm clamp-face diameter.
- 2 inch ASME BPE ferrule: 50.8 mm tube outside diameter and 64 mm clamp-face diameter.
Stainless Steel Ferrules and Blank End Caps
AISI 316L stainless steel ferrules are available with different weld lengths. Solid blank end caps close unused clamp connections, while retaining clamps secure the mating faces around the gasket.
Replacement Gaskets for Inch Connections
Seal options include EPDM, NBR, silicone, Viton, solid PTFE and PTFE envelope styles. The gasket bore and sealing profile must correspond to the inch fitting dimensions; a shared outside diameter does not make a DIN gasket an equivalent replacement.
