Ball Valves | Two-Way, Three-Way and Actuated
HD Process supplies manual and actuated ball valves for hygienic processing, water, steam and compatible industrial services. The range includes stainless steel and PVC designs, with two-way and three-way configurations for isolation and flow routing.
Construction varies between compact valves, fully encapsulated hygienic designs and service valves. Connection and actuation options depend on the selected range.
Two-Way Isolation and Three-Way Flow Routing
Two-way ball valves provide a single flow path for isolation. Three-way versions offer alternative routing arrangements, with L-port and T-port configurations available in the filled-cavity range.
The port arrangement determines which connections communicate at each valve position, making it an important distinction for diverting or connecting process lines.
Compact, Filled-Cavity and Flushable Designs
- Compact Type 81 valves: generally two-way, with Tri-Clover and weld-end versions
- Filled-cavity valves: 316 stainless steel bodies with fully encapsulating PTFE seats
- Tassalini valves: stainless steel configurations including compact and flushable designs
- Steam and water valves: dedicated actuated versions with two-way and three-way arrangements
Filled-cavity construction addresses the space around the ball through an encapsulating seat design. Flushable versions provide a different cleaning arrangement and should be identified separately from compact valves.
PVC Valves for Water and Compatible Chemical Services
The PVC range includes two-piece and three-piece constructions for water handling, chemical transfer and industrial utility duties where compatible with the selected wetted materials.
Three-piece designs provide a removable centre section for maintenance. Available connection types include threaded, socket, solvent-weld and flanged arrangements, depending on the model.
Actuators, Position Feedback and Hygienic Connections
Stainless steel ranges include weld, RJT and Tri-Clamp connections. Selected valves have ISO mounting pads for actuation, with actuators, solenoids and control tops available. Switch or proximity feedback can provide valve-position indication.
