Wilden Air-Operated Drum Pump
Overview
This Wilden drum pump package uses an air-operated diaphragm pump mounted on a plate over the drum, with a stainless steel suction lance down through the bung. The drum stays closed during transfer, helping to reduce contamination risk, odours and vapour exposure. It is a compact, portable solution for decanting liquids from 200 L drums or similar containers.
Key features
The Wilden pump is self-priming and handles thin liquids, light slurries and shear-sensitive products without damage. Flow is controlled simply by adjusting the air supply, allowing operators to speed up or slow down as required. The bung-mounted plate includes anti-vibration feet and a secure clamp arrangement, so the pump can be moved easily between drums.
Typical applications
This system is well suited to transferring honey, syrups, flavourings, detergents and CIP chemicals from drums into tanks, mixers, filters or process lines. It is also a good choice in areas where explosion safety or reduced electrical equipment is preferred, as the pump is fully air driven.
Options and packages
Packages can include food-grade hoses, sanitary tri-clamp fittings, drum adaptors and air treatment sets. Systems can be supplied as stand-alone kits or integrated into larger drum emptying and processing lines.
