Air Release Valve (ARV) - Automatic Air Vent/ Vacuum Break for Pumps

HD Process produce an automatic air release valve.  This is connected to the discharge side of a self-priming centrifugal pump for venting air from the pumping system during the priming cycle. The valve automatically closes upon completion of the priming cycle to prevent the cavitation of liquid during the pumping cycle

The air release valve (ARV) is commonly mounted on top of a centrifugal pump head in order to allow automatic venting of entrained air – thus reducing cavitation.
