Butterfly Valve Seals by Brand & Size

Butterfly Valve Seals by Brand & Size | HD Process NZ

HD Process supplies replacement butterfly valve seals for a range of hygienic and industrial butterfly valves used throughout the food, beverage, dairy, wine and process industries.

Butterfly valve seals can vary significantly between manufacturers even when the nominal valve size is the same. The reference information below can be used to compare common seal ranges by brand, valve size and seal dimensions when identifying a replacement.

Butterfly Valve Seal Ranges Covered

Replacement butterfly valve seals are available for a range of common valve designs, including:

  • A Series butterfly valve seals
  • Bardiani butterfly valve seals
  • Candigra / Inoxpa butterfly valve seals
  • F250 / E Series butterfly valve seals
  • Keystone-compatible butterfly valve seals
  • SMBV butterfly valve seals
  • Tassalini 700 Series butterfly valve seals
  • Generic DA2012 butterfly valve seals

Seal availability, profile and material can vary between valve ranges and sizes. Where the original valve manufacturer or model is unknown, physical measurements of the existing seal can help identify the closest suitable replacement.

How to Identify a Replacement Butterfly Valve Seal

The most reliable way to identify a butterfly valve seal is to confirm the valve manufacturer, model and nominal size. If this information is unavailable, the existing seal can be measured and compared with the dimensions shown for the relevant seal range.

Depending on the seal profile, the main dimensions used for comparison may include:

  • A - outside diameter
  • B - inside or bore diameter
  • C - overall seal width or thickness
  • D - additional profile or locating dimension where applicable

Photos of the valve body, valve disc and removed seal are also useful when the valve make or model cannot be confirmed.

Important Seal Measurement Notes

Dimensions should be treated as a guide when identifying replacement seals. Used elastomer seals can become compressed, stretched, swollen or distorted during service, so measurements taken from an old seal may differ slightly from the dimensions of a new replacement.

Nominal valve size alone does not confirm compatibility. Different manufacturers can use different seal profiles and dimensions for valves of the same stated size. Where possible, confirm the valve brand and model in addition to the measured seal dimensions.

If you are unsure which butterfly valve seal you require, send HD Process the valve brand, model, nominal size, seal measurements and photos. We can compare these details against the available seal ranges and help identify a suitable replacement.
