Seal Identification
- Confirm the valve brand, model and nominal size where possible
- Compare the outside diameter, bore diameter, width and profile dimensions
- Check for ridges, steps or chamfered edges that may distinguish the seal
- Allow for compression, stretching, swelling or wear in a used elastomer seal
- Use valve, disc and removed-seal photos where the model is unknown
