INOXPA MixBlend Powder Blender NZ
The INOXPA MixBlend is a compact horizontal liquid powder blender developed for solids that tend to form lumps when added to liquids. It is particularly suited to controlled additions of gums, pectins and other thickening agents that must be dispersed and sheared rapidly into the product.
Powder is introduced directly into the flowing liquid rather than mixed in an open vessel, limiting its direct contact with air during incorporation.
Venturi Powder Induction and In-Line Shearing
The MixBlend combines an in-line mixer, a horizontal venturi suction system and a powder hopper fitted with a butterfly valve. Negative pressure created beneath the hopper draws solids into the liquid stream, where they pass through the mixer housing for rapid dispersion.
For batch production, the product can be recirculated until the powder has been introduced, followed by further circulation to achieve a more homogeneous mixture.
MB-05 and MB-10 Blender Capacities
- MB-05: approximately 20 m³/h flow, 25 L hopper and 4 kW motor
- MB-10: approximately 30 m³/h flow, 48 L hopper and 7.5 kW motor
- Maximum listed solids intake of 1,300 kg/h for the MB-05 and 2,000 kg/h for the MB-10
- Maximum operating temperature of 65 °C
- ISO 2852 clamp suction and discharge connections
Maximum solids intake depends on the properties and behaviour of the powder being introduced.
AISI 316L Product Contact Construction
Product-contact parts are manufactured from AISI 316L stainless steel, with AISI 304 used for other metal components. The standard configuration includes EPDM gaskets, silicon carbide mechanical seal faces and an internal bright-polished finish of Ra ≤ 0.8 µm.
Options include alternative gasket materials, a double mechanical seal, DIN or SMS connections, hopper vibration and automated powder-level control.
