Colloidal Mills
Colloid mills are rotor‑stator devices designed to disperse, emulsify and homogenise semi‑liquids and emulsions. A spinning rotor (1400–2800 RPM) works against an adjustable stator to generate intense shear, breaking down chunky or sticky ingredients and producing uniform particle sizes. HD Process supplies both vertical (COL‑V) and in‑line (COL‑P) configurations for food, chemical and pharmaceutical processing.
Key specs:
- Rotor speed: 1 400–2 800 RPM with adjustable rotor–stator gap
- Gap adjustment allows a coarser or finer product texture
- Handles viscous, chunky products such as mincemeat, peanut butter, chilli sauces and almond milk
- Capable of processing semi‑liquids, liquids and emulsions.
- Vertical (with hopper and recirculation) or in‑line versions.
- Options
- Pusher pump for high‑viscosity product in in‑line mills
- Recirculation loop for tighter particle control (vertical version).
- Applications
- Pharmaceutical, cosmetic, paint, soap, textile, paper and food industries
- Ideal for pet food, nut butters, sauces and plant milk production.
